Welcome to NY Strong!

We are excited to welcome you to the NY Strong family. Listed below is a quick guide on standard procedures to ensure the gym operates safely and efficiently for everyone.

    General Information:

We pride ourselves on being able to offer a clean space for all. Please remember to wipe down benches and put all weights away when you are done working out. Barbells go behind the squat racks (except for the benches upstairs), and most weights/items are color-coded as to where they belong. Please do not leave any items on the floor. If you have any questions as to where something goes, feel free to ask any of our trainers and we’d be happy to show you.

Since we are a private facility, neatness is key! We live by the policy of honesty and integrity and we want all to feel comfortable in our unique fitness space.

    Last Person In The Gym:

If you are the last person in the gym at any point of the day, please turn off all lights and music. Light switches are:

    1. behind the cable column on the main floor
    2. across from the iPad
    3. next to the entrance door. You can turn off the music by pressing pause on the iPad.
    Appointment Cancellation Policy:

There is a 24 hour cancellation policy for all personal training appointments. Follow up with your trainer for specifics.

    Semi-Private Training:

We offer semi-private training at 6:00 am, 10:00 am and 6:30 pm throughout the week. Our trainers have priority over certain spaces/equipment such as the turf during conditioning or the racks during strength sessions. Refer to our Mindbody website or reach out to management for specific schedules.

    Door Code:

Each individual is given a unique door code that allows for 24 hour access. Please do not share your door code with others. Also, please don’t open the door for someone as they may not have a current membership. Either can result in termination of your membership.

    Guest Policy:

There are no visitor/guest passes with your membership, however your friends and family are more than welcome to purchase a day pass if they’d like. Please reach out to us in advance to arrange payment.

    Thermostat:

It is programmed and we ask that you do not adjust. If the gym temperature seems off please reach out to management or a staff member to investigate the issue.

    Bathrooms:

Please keep them clean. If you make a mess, clean it up or ask for help. We have sensitive toilets. Please do not throw anything other than toilet paper down the toilets. No paper towels, no menstrual products, no tissues. Please be neat :). There are seat covers available. Please use bags for sanitary products and dispose of them in the garbage. Items on the cart in the shower bathroom and in the dispensers in the shower are for all to use, please help yourself. There are also towels, floor mats and washcloths available for your use.

    Misc:
    • We allow chalk use, though we do not provide it. If you bring chalk to use, keep it off the floor and the equipment. Wipe up spills and chalk handprints. Clean it off bars, dumbbells, weights, handles and equipment when you are done.
    • The appliances in the kitchen and the refrigerator can be used but keep in mind that we empty the fridge periodically to avoid spoilage and funky smells.
    • Strongman friends! Easily, you are some of our strongest members so make sure kegs, sandbags, tires and the like make it back to their original home. Don’t leave it for the next person who is likely not quite as strong as you.
    Winter:

During winter months and wet weather, please bring a change of shoes and change at the door to avoid tracking wet and salt into the gym.

    Incidents:

Pipes can burst on cold days, toilets can overflow, and things can be forgotten to be cleaned and overlooked. So, if you enter the gym and find something unusual or an emergency, please phone or text Todd (the owner) no matter what time of day. 914-450-4300.

    Parking:

We have 3 spaces in front of the gym and 2 alongside the fence. They are marked for the gym. The 1st from left in front of the fence is for the Restaurant upstairs. PLEASE NOTE: that spot is in front of the garbage container that is picked up daily. The others contain cardboard and recycles and are usually blocked on days to be picked up.

There are multiple meter spots that are numbered. Some nearby parking spots are for permit holders and will get ticketed between 8am-6pm Mon-Sat. When the gym spots are full, your best bet is to park in a numbered spot and use the app to pay. Park at your own risk.

    Apparel & Supplements:

We would love it if you'd support us and rep our gear. We usually have some apparel on hand and periodically take orders for special items.

If you take supplements, hint hint, we have great pharmaceutical grade products available in stock or they can be ordered. Just ask a staff member to assist you.

    Follow & Support Us!:

We love when you tag us in your social media posts! We also post a lot with great free information so don’t forget to like and follow our page on Instagram, @ny_strong and Facebook @NYStronger
